• Three reconstructed cases using the sensory forearm flap after resection of tongue carcinomas are presented. Return of sensation was achieved within 7, 5 and 3 months respectively. As a sensory forearm flap produces rapid and sure sensory return even in the irradiated graft bed, the flap contributes good postoperative functional rehabilitation of swallowing and speech.
