In the down-draft kiln, it has been clear from the calculation of the transmission between flame and material that the required time to burn the ceramic ware is spent to make temperature of the upper part of kiln equal to that of the lower. In case of the superior ceramic ware the allowance of whose firing temperat-ure is narrow, it is concluded that the efficiency is almost identical irrespective of using heavy oil or coal.
