Nonlinear evolutions of a free electron laser are analyzed by using the quasi-linear theory. By the analysis, the energy conversion rates and the spectral width of emitted radiations are calculated self-consistently. Moreover, it is found that the energy conversion rate is remarkably improved, when an RF field is applied to reaccelerate an electron beam.
