Variable output coupling from a Zn Se etalon plate inside a resonator of CW gas laser was described and analyzed for the optimum coupling condition. The output was obtained for keeping the stationary direction for tunable CO<SUB>2</SUB> laser. The experimental results showed also to get broad frequency range over Doppler width.The insertion loss by a tilted etalon was estimated and found to be reduced to negligible small value.
