The investigation was designed to find the influence of outdoor cage rearing of pullets on growth and subsequent laying performance. After 60 days of age, pullets were oreared in cages placed at outdoor. The periods of outdoor rearing were 90 days for Experiment I and 160 days for Experiment II and III. In each experiment pullet were divided further into four groups by the size of cage space.1. The viability and growth of outdoor cage rearing pullets did not differ from those of pullets reared by conventional method.2. For egg production and feed efficiency there was observed variation among the groups by space size. The differences between the outdoor and conventional rearing groups were not statistically significant.3. Statistically significant effect of the size of cage space was not observed in these experiments.
