Analysis of Chicken Chromosomal Localization among the Loci of Avian Leukosis Endogenous Virus and Cell Surface Receptor Genes in our Closed Colony by Progeny Test.

In order to investigate the relationship of the chicken chromosomal localization among the loci of endogenous virus and cell surface receptor, three groups of WL-O line, WL-B line and the group expressed partial endogenous virus gene were used in this study by means of progeny test.As the result of investigations, it appeared that at least a pair of gag gene and env gene was located on a chromosome, because segregation ratio of the expression of gs antigen and chf activity was close to expected ratio which the genes located on a chromosome. Therefore we supposed that these genes and allele of Gs and gs gene in ev-3 locus had the identical properties.While we decided that cell surface receptor gene to subgroup B virus and the endogenous virus gene locus had to locate on different chromosome, because segregation ratio of the host range and the endogenous virus expression was close to expected ratio which the loci were independent.
