There have been only 27 cases of tumor-forming pancreatitis presented with duodenal stenosis in Japan. We experienced a case of this disease in which gastroduodenal ulcer secondary to duodenal stenosis caused repeated hematemesis for 3 years. A 42-year-old man visited a neraby hospital because of hematemesis was pointed out having gastroduodenal ulcer, a tumor at the head of pancreas, and duodenal stenosis with close examinations. Imaging methods of the head of the pancreas revealed no malignancies. So the patient was under observation. Thereafter he had hematemesis off and on for 3 years and was admitted to the hospital for examination of the head of pancreas as well as for treatment of hematemesis. Close examination disclosed no malignancy and extended gastrectomy for hematemesis with Billrough II for future probable pain caused by pancreatitis was performed. There have been no pain due to pancreatitis nor malignant findings on imagings, as 3 years after the operation.
