Rare case of retroperitoneal mucinous cystadenocarcinoma associated with elevated with CA19-9 levels is reported. A 61-year-old female was admitted to our hospital for tumor of right lower abdmen. Laboratory studies showed elevated serum CA19-9 levels (408u/ml). Ultorasonography and Computed tomography revealed a large cystic lesion with calcified cortical membrane. Laparotomy was performed, and large cystic tumor was found in the right retroperitoneum. Pathologic diagnose was mucinous cystadenocarcinoma. Serum CA19-9 levels had decreased to the normal range after operation. Mucinous cystadenocarcinoma associated with elevated serum CA19-9 levels is quite rare, so it is second case of its' kind reported in the literature. Our findings suggested that mesurement of CA19-9 levels is so useful as the examinatin of this tumor.
