The initial reaction rate r0 of ethylene hydration using solid phosphoric acid catalyst was determined under the pressures ranging from 10 to 80kg/cm2 and temperatures ranging from 250 to 330°C.The concentration of phosphoric acid solution, and the acidity function H0 under the above conditions were estimated.
