Micro-leaf cuttings of Begonia rex were aseptically cultured with the aim to isolate and propagate the irradiation induced chimeras. The relation of NAA and kinetin on organ differentiation was investigated. A combination of NAA (0.01 ppm) and kinetin (0.1ppm) proved to be most effective for speedy differentiation of the organs. But the best growth of the organs are found when the cultures were first grown on kinetin (0.01 ppm) medium and later transferred to NAA (0.01 ppm) medium.
