The versatile module system using magnetic semiconductor ceramic (MSC), which represents one kind of ferrite, has been developed for use in measurements and as a safe guard. The magnetic and electrical properties in the MSC have temperature, humidity and gas concentration dependence and a switching function. The use of MSC provides the same function as adding a ferrimagnetic substance, a thermistor, a capacitor and/or a switching element to the system. Considering these characteristics, the MSC system for temperature/humidity/gas sensors and overvoltage relay can be realized. The system is used in the field of environmental management and as a safety monitor.
