A water-resistant paper " OPER" marketed has a unique structure that resin layers are laminated on the both sides of paper substrate. " OPER" shows excellent quality of not only waterproofing but also softness, printability and convertibility. Therefore，" OPER" has wide applications in the commercial printing and converting paper fields. Recently, we have successfully developed " OPER Premier" and " OPER MDP", which show good ink-drying and color-laser printing performances, respectively. On-demand applications of " OPER" series are practically expected. This report summarizes the fundamental and significant characteristics of newly developed " OPER" series, and their manufacturing process.
