This paper clarified the transformation of urban demographic structuer in local city by decline of downtown and suburbanization through movement of population by district. And then it clarified the influence to the residential environment for the elder through the transformation of urban demographic structuer and evaluation of its eviornment by the elder residents through the questionnaire.<BR>We should have the image of the city and reasonable regu lat ions, if not so, we lead the decline of downtown and suburbanization and some blighted areas.
