Trial of the Nurse Intervention of the Remote Monitoring System in Our Hospital

Introduction: Remote monitoring system was introduced in our hospital from April 2009. A nurse began management of the remote monitoring from February 2011. The nurse performs the explanation of the transmission apparatus, the living guidance after the discharge to a hospitalized patient. We report the present conditions of the remote monitoring system. Method: Our remote monitoring system is CareLink (Mertonic Mineapolice). We performed telephone communication of the confirmation after explanation and the transmission of the transmission apparatus to newly device implanted patients and confirmed presence of setting and the transmission in question from February 2011. In addition, after a discharge. We did a call of the confirmation to a patient without the transmission more than two weeks. Result: 9 patients were registered newly. One patient did not transmit. The reason was transmission refusal. Two peoples became clear with the thing by connection and the setting mistake by telephone communication. The first transmission success and were able to solve 67%. At the time of telephone communication, many patients felt relieved. The enrollment in the outpatient clinic was 100% of transmission rate in 7 patients. Conclusion: There is the need of the intervention of the nursing that was concerned with a device patient closely to be able to tie it to the security of the patient.
