Capacity measurements at a hanging mercury drop electrode show a frequency dispersion. This appears to be due, at least in part, to imperfections in the sealing of glass to the platinum wire from which the mercury drop is suspended. Lead glasses gave the best results, but even better seals are needed if frequency dispersion is to be avoided.
