The annual stature growth of school children follows a sigmoid course, with a spurt at the beginning of a school year (April to June) and a lull in the later half of the school year (October to March). In country children, about 65% of the annual stature increment is allotted to the first half of the school year, while in town children the percentage is a little lower, about 55%<BR>Corresponding to the seasonal variation of growth in body weight, as already reported from the same laboratory by Kawasaki, there occurs an undulatory variation of Rohrer's index during a year, low during spring and summer and high during antumn and winter
