We were asked for a presentation that was an example of outsourcing in the library, and so we introduce herein to this congress the daily activities of the temporary staff. The main work that the temporary staff performs is offering information, and through the performance of this duty, the staff contribute to improvement of the library service. We perform the following action when we notice any problem. At first we have a discussion with all temporary staff about the plan to improve the problem, and then report it to the official staff. As a result of the action, many measures have been approved and carried out.In this presentation, we introduce three examples of such measures.1. To assert that the call number of all books should be subdivided2. To improve the display of the textbook shelves3. To digitize the journal catalogsThese changes that temporary staff brought about may be small, but they have met the needs of the users. Now, our library is trying to be "The library where any user can get easily what they want" through implementing ideas born through collaboration between the official staff and the temporary staff. We temporary staff would like to make more contribution to this challenge from now on.
