A polyelectrolyte complex (PEC) prepared at higher hydrogen ion concentration enhanced the coagulation of blood, whereas PEC prepared at lower hydrogen ion concentration prevented coagulation of blood. This difference sholud be attributed to the difference in the molecular structures of the PEC prepared.
