Electroreduction of benzophenones in DMF in the presence of Li<SUP>+</SUP> was investigated by cyclic voltammetry. Most of these radical anions underwent disproportionation reactions. The relationship between the logarithm of the rate constant of the reaction and the spin density of the carbon atom at the carbonyl group was found to be linear.
