Negatively substituted halomethanes were allylated easily by allyltin compounds <I>via</I> radical chain reaction involving S<SUB>H</SUB>′ process. Aryl, aralkyl, and alkyl halides underwent similar chain reactions only when the tin compound was charged in excessive amounts.
