• Compounds of formula [CuX<SUB>2</SUB>(C<SUB>5</SUB>H<SUB>11</SUB>NCOO)<SUB>2</SUB>]·3H<SUB>2</SUB>O (X=NO<SUB>3</SUB>, Cl, Br), [Cu(NO<SUB>3</SUB>)<SUB>2</SUB>(C<SUB>5</SUB>H<SUB>11</SUB>NCOO)<SUB>2</SUB>]·2(NH<SUB>2</SUB>)<SUB>2</SUB>CO, and Cu[(CH<SUB>3</SUB>)<SUB>2</SUB>CHCOO]<SUB>2</SUB>·(NH<SUB>2</SUB>)<SUB>2</SUB> CO have been prepared. The correlation of their magnetic properties with the p<I>K</I><SUB>a</SUB> values of their parent carboxylic acids is discussed.
