2,4,6-Trichloro-1,3,5,2,4,6-trithiatriazine, N<SUB>3</SUB>S<SUB>3</SUB>Cl<SUB>3</SUB>, reacts with Ru(III) complexes of the type RuCl<SUB>3</SUB>(EPH<SUB>3</SUB>)<SUB>2</SUB>S to form an intermediate which further reacts with PPh<SUB>3</SUB>, AsPh<SUB>3</SUB>, and SbPh<SUB>3</SUB> to form Ru(NS)Cl<SUB>3</SUB>(EPh<SUB>3</SUB>)<SUB>2</SUB> or Ru(NS)Cl<SUB>3</SUB>(EPh<SUB>3</SUB>) (E′Ph<SUB>3</SUB>). Besides, substitution reactions of Ru(NS)Cl<SUB>3</SUB>(EPh<SUB>3</SUB>)<SUB>2</SUB> and Ru(NS)Cl<SUB>3</SUB>(EPh<SUB>3</SUB>)(E′Ph<SUB>3</SUB>) with pyridine, γ-picoline, pyrazine, and pyrazole have been carried out. The compounds were characterized by physicochemical methods.
