The rates of adsorption and desorption during co-adsorption process of CO and H<SUB>2</SUB> on the Ni polycrystalline surface were measured. The desorption rate of CO(a) was enhanced by the presence of CO(g) or H<SUB>2</SUB>(g) in the gas phase. The desorption rate of adsorbed hydrogen was accelerated by CO(g) but not by H<SUB>2</SUB>(g).
