• Two novel naphthalocyanines, naphthalocyaninatobis(triethylsiloxy)germanium GeNc[OSi(C<SUB>2</SUB>H<SUB>5</SUB>)<SUB>3</SUB>]<SUB>2</SUB> and naphthalocyaninatobis(tributylsiloxy)germanium GeNc[OSi(<I>n</I>-C<SUB>4</SUB>H<SUB>9</SUB>)<SUB>3</SUB>]<SUB>2</SUB> were synthesized. These compounds had a strong absorption peak in the near-infrared; the absorption maximum of their evaporated films shifted to the long-wavelength side from the position in solution.
