• Methyl 6-deoxy-β-L-idopyranoside (<B>7</B>), methyl 2-amino-2,6-dideoxy-β-L-idopyranoside (<B>13</B>) and methyl 3-amino-3,6-dideoxy-β-L-idopyranoside (<B>28</B>) have been prepared through the corresponding suitably protected 5-enopyranoside precursors in good yields.
