• 3,5-Disubstituted 3<I>H</I>-1,2,4-dithiazoles were prepared by the oxidation of dithiobiurets, <I>S</I>-benzylisodithiobiurets, and alkyl trithioallophanates, and then 3-acyl or carbamoylimino derivatives were obtained by the direct acylation or carbamoylation of the dithiazole salts. From the spectral data of these compounds, it is concluded that the carbonyl group affects the pseudoaromatic character of the dithiazole ring system.
