The vanadium(IV)-Tiron chelate can be extracted into a mixed solvent of 1 : 4 isopentyl alcoholchloroform in the presence of 1,3-diphenylguanidinium salt. Beer's law was obeyed up to 36 μg vanadium per 10 ml of the solvent.
