The isomerization of 1,2-epoxybutane was studied over NaA-type zeolite and its zinc-exchanged forms in a flow system. The catalytic activity increased from 31 to 92% upon the replacement of Na+ by Zn2+. This increase may be the consequence of the enlargement of the zeolite pore size and the increase in the surface acidity.
