• Sulfodichlorohydroxydimethylfuchsondicar-boxylate forms a 1:2 violet colored chelate (λ<SUB>max</SUB> 540 mμ) with cadmium(II). The chelate is stable between pH 9.5 and 11.5. The values of stability constant as determined by two different methods are 9.1 and 9.0, at 25°C.
