The Great East Japan Earthquake occurred on March 11th 2011 in the Tohoku District of Japan. The following study investigates the response to the event by Sendai Waste Management Ltd. This study took place after three months interval following the commencement of the recovery cycle. Multiple companies were operating in the affected areas, therefore the data derives from multiple sourced reports issued by the active waste management companies participating in the recovery cycle. As a result, both risk management and various data on the event itself were necessary. There is also a planned post-recovery evaluation. The conclusions of this paper present possible strategies to safeguard against and respond to future similar events. The rival enterprise exists in the situation in which the stricken area where the great earthquake occurs is confused. The intelligence activity of the enterprise in the stricken area for the defense as risk management to the rival enterprise is important. Moreover, the intelligence activity of the attack is also necessary as the enterprise.
