• 1. The glycolytic action of blood in the rabbit was accelerated by an injection of bovine pineal extract, and such acceleration was recognized 3 hours after the injection, and it was more remarkable at a later time.<BR>2. It was observed that the inorganic phosphate level in serum was lowered immediately after an injection of bovine pineal extract, and then elevated in a few days thereafter, while cerebral extract did not show such an action.<BR>3. It was found that the serum inorganic phosphate level expected to be lowered by intravenous administration of glucose was markedly elevated a week after a simultaneous injection of pineal extract and glucose.
