(1) Sixteen people were attacked by the bears in Fukui Prefecture from 1970 to 1983.<BR>(2) Places of the attacks were in the following 8 districts (Ono, Maruoka, Izumi, Eiheiji, Katsuyama, Imajo, Kamishii, Tsuruga) .<BR>(3) Attacks tends to happen in the season from April to July (75.0 %) .<BR>(4) Age of the people who received attack by the bears are often old from fifty to seventy (62.5 %), they received attack during collecting edible wild plants or working for forestry and farming.<BR>(5) Attacks often happened in the morning.
