Neuro-otologic examination of a 38-year-old woman with headache and dizziness revealed left hearing loss, disorders of auditory brain stem responses (ABR), lack of a stapedial reflex and central equilibrium disorders. The ETT was saccadicataxic pattern, the OKP showed a poor response bilaterally and the Caloric test revealed slowing of the mean maximal slow phase. A skull base tumor was found on a CT scan. Tissue removed surgically was diagnosed histologically as chordoma. Neurosurgeons of our hospital planned to perform a second operation, but she died from bleeding inside the tumor about a month after her first operation.This paper scribes etiology, clinical findings, neuro-otologic examination and prognosis reviews reference the literature on this rare tumor.
