• A case of 33 years old male. He was admitted with the complaints of foreign body sensation in the larynx, nausea and abnormal sound by swallowing.At the examination of the larynx on admission, cyst-like tumor was found in the ilngual side of the epiglottis. For the removal of the tumor, anterior aproach with the transverse incision at the subhyoid portion was taken. From the operative and histological findings, the turner was designated as epiglottic cyst due to the residual thyroglossal duct.
