The shift of equilibrium function of human body in regard to age is observed by accelerometer at the situation of the active posture. The series of subjects is classified into three groups, i. e. the adults ranging from 25 years old to 30 years old, the children ranging from 5 years old to 6 years old and the aged men ranging from 70 years old to 80 years old.In the study on the active posture, the sway of body is recorded by accelerometer. The results obtained are as follows:1. At the walking. The degree of head sway is higher at the children, relatively low at the adults and the aged men. The same tendency is found by hip sway.2. At the stepping. The degree of head sway is higher at the children and the aged men. Concerning with hip sway, the adults and the children are more remarkable than the aged men in its degree.3. In all cases of the three groups, the head deviates towards the same side of one leg attaching to the floor. In the time relation between the sway and the attachment, the children and the adults give rise to sway at the head and the hip preceding the attachment to the floor. On the other hand, the aged men show the tendency to set in the sway after the attachment.4. There is the close correation between movement of the legs, and acceleration components of head and hip sway.
