1. Hydrolysed compound of glucose cycloacetoacetate was found to promote the growth of L. laichmannii 4797 along with a suboptimal dose of vitamin B12 but not alone.2. The compound showed a protection on the possible destruction of viitamin B12 during autoclaving, probably due to its reducing property.
