• We surveyed the prognosis for the ten cases of traumatic dislocations of the shoulder treated by conservative method over the last five years.Among those surveyed, seven were male, and three were female. Nine cases had anterior dislocations, while another had Luxatio Erecta.Six cases were associated with fractures; five in greater tuberosity and one in glenoid region.In these cases more rapid recovery was obtained by using the abduction flame or by fixing in the liverty position compared with the fixation in adducted position. Four cases without fractures made rapid recovery after freeing the affected joints from fixation. Although the fixation in abduction produced satisfactory results functionally, further investigation should be made as to the position in abduction or liberty position.
