• A giant calcification of M. Tibialis anterior was noted in a 75 years old male, He had been bitten by a poisen snake "Mamushi" and bound his right lower leg with the rope for about 200 days when he was ten years old. After that, he had noticed a tumor in the anterior part of his right lower leg. The tumor was growing very slowly for 65 years. When the patient was admitted in July, 1986, the tumor was elastic hard measuring 9×3cm2 in size.We resected the tumor and its pathological finding was the calcification of M. Tibialis anterior.We considered the tumor as dystrophic calcification due to necrosis caused by the ischemic change of M. Tibialis anterior.
