Therapeutic Results of a Captured Hip Screw in External Fractures of the Femoral Neck.

Of 36 trochanterc femoral fractures repaired with a captured hip screw, 33 cases were followed-up. The telescoping lenghts of 6 cases were more than 15mm. 5 of which were unstable, and the results were unsatisfactory. In unstable types, other sliding devices with a key should be used. It is important that the lag screw pass through the center of the femoral neck and head.
