We report a patient presenting with clinical symptons of pyogenic effusion of the right knee and FUO. The patient, a 19-ear-old male, had HLA-antigen B27 and seronegative arthritis, but did not have spondylosis and sacroiliitis. The diagnosis was very difficult. Treatment with salazopyrine for inflammation and fever was qiven. Development of ankylosing spondyioarthritis is a possible complication there fore making it necessary to follow-up and wonitor patient's progress.
