We studied the complications following femoral neck fractures in 386 patients over the age of 50 years. Circulatory disorders and urinary tract diseases were the most frequently reported complication. The most important factors associated with a good prognosis were stopping bed-rest as soon as possible after surgical treatment and prevention of decubitus and other complication.
