Hydrogrossular injected in two types reactor of pilot plants was found to be capable of decreasing the HCl concentration from the effluent gas at high temperature that could not be captured by conventional sorbents suds as CaO and Ca(OH)<SUB>2</SUB>. HCl gas was fixed as wadalite [Ca<SUB>12</SUB>Al<SUB>10</SUB>Si<SUB>4</SUB>O<SUB>32</SUB>Cl<SUB>6</SUB>] at>700°C under realistic gas phases including H<SUB>2</SUB>O, CO<SUB>2</SUB> and so on.
