There have been hardly any published works on the dynamic bending strength of cords in highspeed bending. The dynamic bending strength is an important property of cords or threads, such as tire cords, threads for high speed sewing machines, fishing-net cords and parachute suspension lines.<BR>A new testing machine has been trially devised to check the bahavior of dynamic bending strength of nylon, polyester, rayon, cotton and vinylon cords.<BR>The dynamic bending strength of rayon and catton cords nearly independent of the bending speed.<BR>The dynamic bending strength of other cords decreases with an increase in bending speed.
