Inertia force is applied on the wood race during weaving due to its reciprocating motion. When shuttle is changed, the load caused by the motion of various parts is added. Since the frequency of the periodical external force is approximately equal to the natural frequency of the wood race, dynamical stress s are induced in the wood race. The rigidity of the wood race is analysed against the inertia force due to the distributed masses of the structure and against the shock load due to shuttle change.
