• Using the data of dual earner couples with preschool children, I examined how husband's/ wife's working life and conditions were associated with spouse's cumulative fatigue symptoms. Husband's work-related stress was not associated with wife's cumulative fatigue symptoms, although wife's higher work-related stress was associated with higher levels of husband's cumulative fatigue symptoms. Husband's shorter overtime working hours and lower levels of work addiction, however, decreased wife's work-related stress on husband's cumulative fatigue symptoms. Husband's higher levels of work addiction were associated with wife's higher levels of cumulative fatigue symptoms, although wife's work addiction was not associated with husband's cumulative fatigue symptoms. Explanations for these findings were discussed and the need for future studies were described.
