• This is a report of a fundamental analysis of the dynamic relations between the two main rollers on the assumption that there is no friction loss in the dye jigger to which the differential gear mechanism is applied.<BR> The relationship between the tension and running speed of the dyeing cloth and the motive power of the motor has been studied theoretically. As the general result of the study, it is concluded that when the values of breking torque and the motor speed are given, they are in functional relation with the rolling radii of the two main rollers.
