This study was designed to investigate the effects of the experimenter's supervisory behavior patterns upon performance and reminiscence in perceptualmotor learning. With the task performance (P) and the group maintenance (M) functional dimension used as the bases, the supervisory behaviors of the experimenter were operationally divided into four patterns: namely, PM, P, M and pm which are determined by the intensity of the two functions.<BR>It was found that the amount of pre-rest performance tends to be higher among P-type groups, that of post-rest performance among PM-type groups. The results of reminiscence were the highest among PM-type groups, practically independent of the amount of pre-rest performance. The determinant of reminiscence effects was examined from the viewpoint of the experimenter's supervisory behavior patterns.
