Ethylcellulose microcapsules were prepared by an interfacial polymer deposition technique and fractionated into three fractions of different capsule sizes by passing through a series of meshscreens. The permeability coefficient of the microcapsules towards sodium hydroxide determined electroconductometrically was found to decrease with decreasing capsule size.
