I present herewith an additional report of the results of experiments with the New Precipitation Test in tuberculosis devised by Dr. Toitsu Matsunami and myself. The method is based on the same principle & technique as Meinicke's turbidity reaction for syphilis with the antigen made of acetone-insoluble fraction of alcoholic normal ox lung tissue extract containing one per cent balsam of tolu. The sera tested numbered three hundred and fifty five (355), ninety four (94) being of tubercular patients in the early stages; and the rest, non-tubercular.All the sera were tested and examined not only for the lung tissue extract antigen, but for the following three other antigens also and comparison made; (1) Meinicke's antigen; (2) One percent alcoholic solution of lecithin containing 1% balsam of tolu; (3) lipoidal alcoholic extract of tubercle bacilli containing 1/2% balsam of tolu.
