• The present author has carried out the cultivation of tubercle bacilli in sputa expectorated from tuberculous patients before and after the operation, such as lobeotoniy, pneumonectomy, cavernostomy, segmental' resection or partial resection. After that, bjicteriological examination of the resected lung tissues, cavity contents etc have been carried out.
